HMA (Hall McMaster and Associates Ltd)
HMA is a team of professional human service teachers and practitioners offering blended learning solutions to organisations in the social service sector. Much of their work occurs in the areas of consultation in criminal justice work, social work with men, family violence prevention training programmes, child protection, the interviewing of children experiencing trauma, abuse issues, and psychological assessment and therapy. CTN in partnership with HMA brought Michael Clarke to New Zealand last July.
Brisbane Institute of Strengths Based Practice
CTN has formed a relationship with this Brisbane based institute to promote Strengths Based Practice. The institute propagates and supports strengths based Human Resource Development through Strengths-based strategies, Appreciative Enquiry, Asset based Community development and counselling with Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Dr Venkat Pulla, the founder and motivator for the Brisbane Institute has recently formed this small, but with a global reach consulting company. Dr Pulla is internationally renowned for his work in organising conferences and his work in resilience and strengths based approaches. He is planning to offer workshops in NZ in the future.

A national organisation for welfare organisations, the website has a wealth of useful resources.

A national umbrella organisation for local social service councils and networks.

Unitec NZ Graduate Diploma in Not for Profit Management
Unitec offers this Diploma at various locations. It is probably the most significant professional qualification relevant to management in the sector.

Interesting site for practising social workers and social work students. It's purpose is to facilitate the user's access to social work resources on the web.
How Boards Work
Te Puni Kokiri site on effective governance education. Primarily targeted for Maori organisations it has some good generic resource information, tools and articles.

A website with excellent resources and information focusing on the legal aspects and requirements of voluntary organisations in NZ.
