Community Capacity Building - Database of Trainers/Mentors
REGISTRATION OF INTEREST
Up until July 2009 Creative Training Network Limited (CTN) managed a national supplier database. This database was established by CTN with funding support from MSD. The database was a resource for CTN and for provider organisations seeking contracted services, it included individuals who were able to supply identified training, practice supervision/coaching and/or mentoring in various areas of the country.
The database is still actively utilised by CTN in its work under the CYF capacity building contract to locate suitable mentors to work with CYF referred provider organisations. These contracts involve CTN managing various capacity building initiatives with social service provider organisations. The organisations are referred by CYF to receive an allotment of mentoring hours to assist in building the organisational capacity in various areas. CTN locates, introduces and if suitable contracts mentors, coaches, consultants, facilitators and trainers to work with these organisations to meet agreed objectives.
While we have reasonable list of potential mentors we are always interested in meeting new people who may have something to offer in this area; hence the decision to leave a registration of interest process open. This will differ from the previous more formal process using the CYF ROI form and subsequent vetting process.
If you think that you have the skills and experience to able to work with community NGO and Iwi social service providers in any of the following areas please register your interest by sending an email roi@ctn.org.nz or phoning (David Cowley 07 8277579) to discuss further.

- Governance training, facilitation and mentoring
- Management mentoring
- Review and wring of operational policies and procedure
- Knowledge of CYF approval standards and KOPPs documentation
- Organisational structure and HR processes

The existing database will continue for a period to be accessible to providers as a resource for those seeking contract support for their organisations; however its use is conditional.
