Creative Training Network is able to offer a range of responsive solutions to organisations either directly, or through our many networks and contacts. Our main contractual focus has been the management and delivery of workshops and other provider support initiatives under a national contract to the Ministry of Social Development. For the past nine years we developed and delivered a range of capacity building workshops throughout the country using the most appropriate and best available trainers for each location and workshop.
Our trainers are all highly successfully and professional trainers and/or consultants with their own businesses. We contract these trainers on an as required basis to deliver targeted workshops to outcome specifications. Some of these workshops have been developed and adapted by the trainers and others we have developed ourselves in conjunction/consultation with a variety or trainers and developers. The main one of these is our Strengths Based Social Work Practice workshop which has been developed and delivered over the past four years by some the most experienced and accomplished practitioners available.
We are able to adapt, manage and deliver almost any of the workshops on contract basis to meet specific organisational needs. Our level of involvement can vary from overall management of all aspects including notification, online registrations, venues, delivery and follow up to just delivery depending on requirements.
The main topic areas where we have managed or delivered workshops are:
- Results Based Accountability (see below and further information on resources page)
- Governance and Management
- Strategic Planning
- Financial Management (all aspects of organisational finances and accounting)
- Employment Relations (management and legal aspects)
- Performance Management
- Conflict Resolution
- Quality Management – Managing for Quality
- Community Development and Networking

Results Based Accountability (RBA). This is process and framework to assist organisations, communities etc think about the results they want to achieve, their measurement and then articulate the actions that will create the results. The framework has been used successfully by numerous organisations and its approach has been illuminating. RBA was developed by Mark Freidman (Santa Fe, New Mexico) who has written a book "Trying Hard Is Not Good Enough". He has delivered a number of workshops in New Zealand and is returning December. FACS have promoted RBA and sponsored some earlier training workshops and organisational workshops. Carl Pascoe of Creative Training Network and Creative Facilitation Network has become the leading facilitator in NZ and has trained and worked with Mark Freidman. Carl is available on a contract basis to work with organisations as required. If you are interested in finding out more contact either Carl or David - see contact details tab on left.
